The sacrament of penance is underrated.

Now, we're all expected to discuss everyone's past failings in the newspapers and hound them with everything they've ever said or done, forever. And then they're expected to make a dramatic, international altar call to the Gods of Right Speak and wail and tear their clothes and cry about their sins, when nobody actually gives a fuck and every is tired of hearing about everyone else's business.
