The donation from the ordinals crew to HRF was for me, a huge orange-washing. They know they're doing something bad, which is why they felt a need to balance that out with a donation/virtue signal.
What do you think of the fact it's increased the number of full nodes on the network?

Apparently so. There's .eth heads amongst others running full bitcoin nodes now to make inscriptions / keep a copy of their "NFTs" on the blockchain. Don't know if this will last but it's an interesting side effect.
