Klarna decided it would lay off 700 of its workers and replace them with AI, with its CEO saying he would be “OpenAI’s guinea pig”.

Their valuation has plunged from $45.6 billion to $6.7 billion.

He now says “..what you end up having is lower quality,”.. and goes on to say he’s realised customers expect to able to talk to a customer support agent.

So he’s come up with a genius recovery plan - hire human workers he fired to replace the AI bots he installed.
