Open access secure global communication technology will be enabled by space based satellites running Lightning Network nodes that you pay per bit with BTC, and DIY hardware for a ground terminal. This will be great for global FOS, i.e. being able to say what you want without the risk of a government that can stop and/or censor you. The only drawback is that criminals get the same capability.
