Unfortunately giphy collects info by using their sdk such as search history, app launches, taps, clicks, scrolling information, music listening data, video views, saved place in a game, video, or song, or other information about how the user interacts with the app.

Instead of using giphy API, would it be possible to query .gif links posted on nostr?
