I was trying to update the app on Android but it wasn't working so I deleted it from my device and I'm pretty sure I forgot to back up my seed
Sounds bad. There are no accounts with ecash, it is stored directly on device. Lightning addresses work thank to a server but it does not hold users' ecash balances.
To recover you need the seed, that allows the wallet to re-generate lost ecash with mint assistance, or a wallet backup.
