Being able to delete their pfp and not leave it on nostr build would be more normie friendly

Not all hosting sites and social media sites are Nostr friendly as Nostr clients seem to prefer CORS headers.

This is your Twitter pfp

I used to use Twitter as my profile host back in December or January. I'm not saying it doesn't work, but I feel that telling people to use Twitter as their image host is a bad idea.

people want more control over their pfps, and nostr build doesn’t do that without signing up and paying for an account in bitcoin, that’s not normie friendly

You can try nostrcheck.me or install your own nostrcheck instance. You can control your avatar and banner with the free tier.

With the unstable management over there, any dependency on Twitter is a bad thing.

nostr:npub138s5hey76qrnm2pmv7p8nnffhfddsm8sqzm285dyc0wy4f8a6qkqtzx624 would be good if nostrcheck did this on uploads?

Your Nostrcheck server instance is compatible with that, it even resizes the image if it is for avatar or banner.

That's up to the nostr client, some time ago I exchanged some messages with rabble about integrating nostrcheck, now it would be easier for them to adopt NIP96 (the spec allows to differentiate between media, banner or avatar).
