With AI prompting there’s no reason we couldn’t have bots that cover all of the world’s news - daily for all major themes and then some. It won’t be suuuuper comprehensive but we should be able to cover most big topics - politics, sports, news, tech etc… and we could have feeds / relays dedicated to those. It wouldn’t be perfect but a great start for up to date news - no humans required. Then, throw in the human generated content and you’re solving the content problem.

Sounds familiar. I think I saw it a long time ago once or twice but can’t recall the details now.
I imagine this as feeds inside a standard kind 1 client. The idea is to get people engaged with that content and start conversations. The news is somewhat of a draw but the discussion is what’s more valuable imo.
Yes, take a deeper look into it I think it's kind of the same you are thinking. All the platform is based on Nostr, there are different npubs with llms behind it summarizing and giving the POV of different media about the same news, like conservative pov, liberal pov etc

Content is only part of the problem. Another is the quality of it. I can't count the number of times AI tools have fed me total bullshit. I get a laugh out of calling them out and having them double down on being wrong though. Do you mean bots that compile human generated content? I suppose it has to involve humans at some point until the AI can interact with the physical world.

That would be cool, but probably has ethical and legal implications if it served up the entire content.
There are some bridges that bring Iran's news to nostr. But all of the get their news from the regime propaganda channels. Aweful. I muted and reported all.

Yeah! Could do just about anything on top of that - ask it to defend opposing views so you can interpret for yourself which is more correct.
I have been trying to find some good resources on how to make a bot to post news from a website, but I haven't found much. I looked at nostr.net and found the nostr-bot but I don't find any guides how to use the tools. AI didn't give me specific instructions either...
No humans required, except of course for:
- all the content being scraped and aggregated is human produced
- the web crawler would be built and maintained and promoted by a human
- the AI (SLM or LLM) used for distilling the gigantic volumes of information is built and maintained by large teams of humans
Not disparaging the idea of a Nostr friendly news aggregator, just mindful of the “no humans required” bit 😉
