At such (magnitude) of distances, our notion of miles (and kilometers) has no kinda breaks down ...

For example , inside a black hole - time stops - because light can't travel at all due to gravity .. for all practical purposes (if there is one :-) the black hole, thus, has infinite distance ( universal scale) with in it .. quite possible we are inside a black hole - information is encrypted on the event horizon in n-1 dimension ..

Btw - in radiative zone , light doesn't slow down , it is that a photon is consumed by tightly packed nucli as soon as it walks (at the speed of light) for one mm ...

The other way to think about radiative zone is ..

The X and Gamma rays in Sun's core are so strong that they wouldsimply pass through Earth .. making a tiny hole all through ..In Sun's radiative zone they barely move one mm .. density and pressure .. it's like 300000 km thick cover of Gold circling around core .. gradually reducing in density as we go outwards

I hope one day mankind can achieve a Dyson sphere.

Light can travel in a black hole, it just has no path that leads outside of the event horizon.

Agree .. it travels in circles .. but we don't know for sure if there is dense matter with in to hinder the progression of light .. must be high intensity gamma and X rays given the kind of fusion going on inside ..

It's way past what we call fusion at that point. Neutron stars are less dense than black holes and don't do fusion (because it's already happened, they're basically one giant atomic nucleus already).

fascinating objects

Singularity is the Observer ..

Maybe he was referring to the singularity, not event horizont.

Definition of "black hole" is a bit confusing.
