You need a pretty big freezer for even half a cow. I got lucky a couple years ago when a friend bought half a cow and couldn't fit it all so they gave a bunch away so it wouldn't go bad.
By memory my last half was about 450lbs dressed.

Yeah, I've just got a little guy, (like 5 cu ft I think?) So even 1/4 cow is pushing it. I mostly just use it for fish and stocking up on frozen veggies.
Yeah Ive got a small 5 cubic foot and 1/4 cow nearly fills it.
