Phoenix can’t receive zaps. It’s great for storing sats on Lightning but you’ll still want to have a wallet that provides a LNURL/Lightning Address.

#[5] is the easiest all-in-one option.

I prefer #[6] + #[7] because it offers more functionality and it can even be used with your own node if you run one.

See #[5] actionable recommendations on getting a LN address nostr:note135atusdrylptmfw5ys0r92rl56swsth8v5va8zl8ag20khzds09sj6nquz

Once you set up your LN address successfully, you should see a ⚡️ icon on the bottom right of all your notes. This means that you can be zapped by other nostriches for the content you share here.

Unlike twitter, there is no middleman to take ad money that your content generates by way of views.

Let’s see you get the #zap!

This is great, and if we have to show this to new users in order for them to understand zapping it probably means onboarding remains an uphill battle

I wrote this after I saw a lot of so-called “professional” bitcoiners coming here and sticking on-chain addresses or invoices in their zap field. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yeah, it’s indicative of a rough onboarding. If the pros got it wrong, expectations for pre-coiners could be lower.

Maybe, but I’ve seen noobs come here and get it pretty quickly. It could just be a degree of curiosity and humility vs. the Dunning–Kruger effect.

🤔 great point
