How is the Bitcoin/Nostr scene in Tokyo? Are there frequent bitdevs-style meetups and other social events?
I found some events online, but I would love to hear the opinions of someone living in Tokyo!

Hey! I am not sure about either of these, since I am not participating much IRL. I think nostr:npub1k0jrarx8um0lyw3nmysn50539ky4k8p7gfgzgrsvn8d7lccx3d0s38dczd and nostr:npub17n53d53ql9seuxap52r6uckkvvf9nk0pg2v6ecpj7z9nnh8fwh2sl3j6ds are much more familiar.
Thanks!
I don't live in Tokyo. I'm in Osaka.
As far as I know, Nostr developer events are not held very often in Japan. There were online study sessions last year, but they haven't been held for a while.
By the way, there are apparently some sessions at Nostrasia 2024 on Sep. 23.
In Tokyo, small meetups are frequently held within the Nostr user community. However, rather than discussing the topic of Nostr, these are simply dinner parties where friendly users get together.

In Japan, a community (like DAO) called 428lab sometimes holds study sessions on Nostr.
I have also hosted several study sessions at 428lab.
In addition, Nostr study sessions have been held several times at nostr:npub16lrdq99ng2q4hg5ufre5f8j0qpealp8544vq4ctn2wqyrf4tk6uqn8mfeq 's shisha bar.
As far as I know, only two or three organizations are holding Japan's Nostr study sessions, so I hope that more will start doing so.
For the past six months or so, I have been conscious of talking about Nostr in other communities.
I gave lightning talks using Nostr in the Vim and C# communities.
I'm also planning to give a Lightning talk on Nostr at the Emacs community next month.
Thank you for the info! 🙏
