People who grew up on Mastodon can be defensive about it. But I think that’s counterproductive. The whole experiment should be very proud of what it popularized about the Federation concept. It was inevitable but others would want to push the envelope a little further. I have seen nothing about the Bluesky ambitions that seem predatory or toxic. I think both models can and should work.
