Yes, but light can travel around glasses via the photoelectric effect. And you can easily wear them lower on your nose if for reading only. Plus CR39 polycarbonate lenses permit more UV light than traditional PC.

Idk I’m not going to make a big deal out of that. He may just wear it when he’s filming and/or reading.

Yeah I’m not implying that is a dealbreaker or something. He definitely exceeds the 80/20 rule for lifestyle choices
