Ahh that’s where you’re mistaken. They own all bitcoin that isn’t self custodied by individuals. They just write some words on a fancy sheet of paper and take it from GBTC for national security or to save the kids or something.

No. The point being the govt can easily confiscate all of the coins gbtc holds.
