Is someone paying Goolge to get more people to drive through Canada when they're going across the northern US?

It keeps rerouting us and not even giving the option it gave earlier to go below all the big lakes 😬🤣 good thing we can bypass that with an added stop, but still, annoying!!

I'm not giving up my Immigration process because google took me the wrong way!! 😑
