Where is the syllabus to learn #bitcoin?

I’m not joking. πŸ™ƒ So. Much. Information.

1. Read the white paper

2. Read the books (is there an order?)

3. Buy #btc

Sincerely, I was brought here because of my belief in freedom technology. I do now believe #btc & #freedom for the majority of people can work effectively.

Thanks in advance. πŸ₯°πŸ™πŸ«‚πŸ«‘

The Bitcoin Standard is my go to first book.

Thank you. πŸ™ I added that one too. Much appreciated.

Thanks very much.

This checks for me.

Besides, Lucky Number Slevin is one of my favorite movies. 🍿

If this makes no sense: one of the main characters is named Slevin Kelevra. But go in fresh with no idea prior to watching to enjoy it throughly πŸ˜‰

Hi Michele, here is some more suggestions:

4. Take self custody

5. Save seed words on steel/ titanium plate

6. Run your own node

7. Listen to bitcoin only podcasts

8. Go to your local meetup.

9. Realize it’s a ten year process so your body and mind need to be strong.

10. Go outside for a walk and enjoy some sunshine, hike a trail, kayak a river.

Have fun

Thank you. I will continue on with these suggestions. Appreciation. πŸ™

There is beautiful irony in #9. Being chronically ill (way before Covid) has taught me the importance of redefining strength. My physical body may never be as it once was. Fortitude will continuously become more heightened. πŸ˜ŠβœŒοΈπŸ«‚

You'll find that there are a lot of disciplines in this space; economics, mathematics, politics, philosophy, computer science, engineering, cyber security, financial services, etc. It is a lot because #Bitcoin is affecting pretty much every industry and area of human life (by design). Bitcoin itself is actually quite simple. It's all the other human stuff that can be complex. Follow the paths that interest you most.

All very true. Thanks πŸ™ Compared to most my age, I was a late adopter to social media. I’ve never completely understood the appeal of it beyond meeting people IRL & keeping in touch with those I already know.

Overall, I do enjoy it here. Most have strong opinions about various topics. It is good to hear others speak. Truly. 😊 My hope is for more discussions with those who ideas differ from mine. Even with the most respectful speech, most will ignore. Still learning how to best do this.

Cliques have become apparent & even in middle school I found that abhorrent. It’s odd to me that adults behave that way; however, I’m only making an observation. It’s not on me to judge anyone.

This place will be what I make it. Like everything else in life has been. Choosing where to focus my energy is definitely good advice. Thanks for reminding me.

here is a series of short articles to get started:

gn~!!

I’m so late but good night to you.

You are already in. No matter which way, you will find yours. Once you see it, you only can go further and deeper.

For me, Bitcoin Standard (Saifedean Ammous) is a must and a good point to start the way.
