I upset a lot of people by having a different opinion that they've never heard.
I've noticed that people aren't used to a Catholic arguing from doctrine, for example. They expect us to just pretend that we agree with them, to stay popular, but if we were overly concerned with popularity, we wouldn't be Catholic.
And my views on funding Nostr projects have put me in the permanent financial doghouse. 😂
When I was a kid and first read of the myth (from Aristotle?) of a city where once a year the ruler had to walk alone through the streets so anyone who wanted to murder him could; my first thought was he must have been a completely useless ruler if literally no one wants him dead for whatever stupid reason.
If you're not making waves, you're probably not going anywhere...
