Masks stops spit droplets, not viruses... π€¦ββοΈ
Thing is, coronavirus and many other respiratory virus are usually transmitted on tiny droplets of water sprayed out with a sneeze or cough.
Those are huge on that scale and masks can be effective.
COVID spread via aerosol
#smoke is dry #virus particles primarily or even uniquely travel in small drops of fluid #thinkagain
Nothing makes people go 0 to full retard as fast as covid these days.
If I sneeze in your direction while I'm wearing a mask my mask gets covered in snot.
If I sneeze in your direction while you are wearing a mask and I'm not, you get covered in snot.
The mask stops me from giving it to others, it does not stop me from catching it.
4 years in to not get this there are limited options left to explain it.
1. Genuinely stupid.
2. Statist bitch trying to align yourself with a political parties platform.
3. Asshole who just wants to make other people sick.
Which is it?

COVID is spread via aerosol
How do people not know this yet?
Ive watched Idiocracy too much and come to the realization that a large portion of the population is simply tarded. Dont waste too much energy, treat them as such in a kindly way.
If air comes out of your mask, it's not working.
There is a difference between a statistical reduction and 100% effectiveness. Never running a red light doesn't mean you'll never get in a red light accident, that doesn't mean running red lights is a good idea.
The problem is it only takes 1 virus participle to infect someone, if you reduce your COVID output from breathing even by 99%, there are still millions of particles that escape every breath you take with a mask.
That's why people were swapping to n95s, which actually do work.
Sneezing and coughing was not how COVID spread, it spread by breathing
So no, not full retard or statist or trying to infect people.
Itβs an interesting debate as it came down to how those virus particles were held in suspension and the size of said suspension. The mask was more of mechanical barrier (think wind break) than a particle filter and the aim was also to reduce the distance travelled by the particles (hence why social distancing was also a thing).
Yep it definitely changed the trajectory and velocity, making particles rise up instead of directory towards. So if your room has really good ventilation it would help a lot.
But ultimately every single person got COVID, masked or vaccinated or not, so it was all very retarded either way
Painfully retarded indeed.
Totally agree. You really canβt stop an airborne virus. EVERYONE would need to conform pretty much under clinical conditions, all the time - never gonna happen. It might have slowed down the transmission a bit but everyone was going to get it.
Masks were a bit like bitcoin regulation. Might have slowed down the adoption a bit but everyone is going to get bitcoin and you really canβt stop it. π
Statistical reduction again.
Some people will require only 1 particle to get sick, some thousands, some millions, some billions.
Yes everyone was going to get it. We didn't all need to get it at once and overload the hospitals. We didn't all need to get it before it mutated into a less severe form.
Your entire position is anti statistical thinking and making perfect the enemy of every helpful but imperfect action.
