I've never thought about it like that, but I don't know what being the Superpower means anyway. Does it mean having the largest national debt?

Largest ego.

USA elites are thinking that

the title belongs to the nation whose currency the world is forced to trust, whose military can project force anywhere, and whose influence shapes global rules (it was true, for maybe 100years, but in the present it's not true anymore).

Meanwhile China is building fast in several areas + building influence in the background and not online or on tv (they build influence in silence, almost never public => NEVER LET THE ENEMY KNOW YOUR NEXT MOVE, Sun Tzu = soft power/indirect), the most important part is the soft power that they use to their advantage, they already made the world dependent in various areas:

"China already won, it can change in 20 years or more."

(Also they can use force at any time they want to, but it's bad for business that's why they most of the time use soft power and not force, when they use force it's because of another country or continent force them to react, and they react to not loose face on a big platform or stage, knowing when to react to not loose the power game = psychological warfare)

Short:

"USA is MORE dependent on China🔎, this isn't the case when you switch them, China can do without USA🤔."

Thank you.
