It'd wreck us for sure. It would be terrible and hundreds of millions would die for no reason. We'd do to the world what we did to Vietnam.

But I think it'd also annihilate or severely cripple whatever master-of-the-universe types are involved, and that's why they're so scared of nukes. They don't give a shit about us.
