More or less any car made in the last decade or so can be electronically hijacked. You’d need to get a used car from the 90s to be completely safe. #[7] talks about this.

True, I do have computer systems in my car. In r/preppers I’ve seen posts about this kind of stuff… I’m not likely to get an early model car to compensate for this risk but I like to know as much as I can to plan for the what if’s. Though I’m considering getting a used pickup if I spring for a trailer, my 4Runner only tows 5k. So this is good to know!
