Good question--partly because they are subservient to Google and don't want to anger them.

But if they're touting freedom and open source, and then turn around and say you need Google Play Services...well...it's pretty clear they're just pandering...

Do the right thing #Fedi - start truly supporting privacy by not using Google Play Services.

#GrapheneOS is putting pressure on Google--so should everyone in the open source community.

If you start looking at the permissions and requirements for apps before you download, it'll truly shock you...most apps are simply privacy data collectors...
