#grownostr need to dry out some biochar. The gas chipper clogged pretty quick. I’ll just chip up dry char and wear a dust mask.

I have piles of debris waiting to be made into char but it is just too wet right now. It will have to wait until spring. Jealous.

Yeah, I have a pretty good cycle now. Pruning from last year are ready, then I’ll scour the neighborhood for fallen limbs, those are usually g2g and have dried in the trees until dead. Might be an option for you.

You are right. I’ve have to be more prepared.

Opposite problem, too dry here, don't want to catch the whole pasture on fire!

We didn’t have rain all summer, we’ve gotten 10+ inches in the past month… crazy!

Does chilling dry char work well?

What do you mean?

lol, i should’ve done the proofreading.

Does running dry char through a chipper work? I’ve been using the crush it with a blunt object method.

Yes, I’ve used a Wen electric chipper from Home Depot. Just wear a dust mask. I’ll have the biochar somewhat damp just to keep the dust down. You’re just need to find a happy medium. Good rice size pellets though.
