I went through a similar thing today; or rather, I chose not to :)

I saw the docs for that plugin and decided against it, but I'm still unsure about what precisely is going on. I know that there is a thing where you put a `./well-known/lnurlp/username` file for the LN address, but I don't know if btcpayserver already did that or not, but it has always seemed to be fine to pay to my ln address at `waxwing@waxwingdonation.com`. I'm not sure. And then there is this nostr thing (NIP05) that I haven't entirely understood. I *was* able to create a throwaway account on amethyst and zap myself, and now I can see confirmation from a couple of others. What I *did* do (and this is like 8 months ago, I forget exactly), was create the LN address inside the btcpayserver interface. But without that plugin. And it seemed to work, including zaps, but ... maybe not always? Not sure.
