Funny things, those cars. 20 or so years ago, I bought Saab 9000 as my first car that I bought myself. 55 000 CZK, if I remember correctly. Fast forward to today, I still have it. Not that particular one, but another 9000. And guess what? It is still my best daily car. I have LR Discovery 3 and Jaguar XF, which are both fantastic cars, but for daily driving, I still choose that 34 year old rustbox. I have driven lots of objectively better cars in all respects. My Jaguar is better in everything and while it is really a great car, for driving around here, I still choose 9000. I believe it was one of the best cars of its time and it still shows. But maybe that is true for all cars from that time. 1980-2000 was time when the best cars were built. Everything after that is just progressively more meh. It is just sad.
