I think later generations are much more alarmist about repugnant ideas. Like, what if people actually BELIEVED something so crazy? We should DO SOMETHING and we shouldn't stop DOING SOMETHING until everyone is cool. But nothing ever gets cool. So millenials and such just get caught in this doom loop of anxiety about someone, somewhere being cool with being wrong.

And "wokism" is just basically this alarmist, academic mentality ossified into a secular religion. These children think they are the first cohort of himanity to discover that people are awful. They are simply just, as a result of human record-keeping, aware of just how AWFUL humanity is. And they ADORABLY flail around trying to fix it all, despite how unfuckable it all is. I don't blame them. Pop-psychology and American exceptionalism configured society to be intolerant beyond reasonable expectations.
