Just pondering, not really looking for advice or anything.

I've been looking at these nip 05 providers and I'm wondering if any of the cheap paid ones are actually worth it.

They're basically the same as the free ones.

They're all subscription based and get removed if you stop paying.

Kinda doesn't feel worth it.

At the same time there are some extremely expensive options that although seem to be way overpriced and well above what I can afford do a lot more, but even those all seem to be subscription based and run out of you don't keep paying.

I've noticed a lot people on here don't bother with nip 05 anyway, but I would like to be more easily found.

I would recommend a cheaper paid option that's one time or a free one. Don't do a subscription, not worth it.

If you have your own domain, you can even set that using GitHub if it's not being used for anything else.

I have a custom one as you can see, I also own a premium service called mynostr but it's not yet back up yet.

I was just looking at mynostr, its probably the one I'm going to go with because @nostr just looks a lot cleaner than any of the free ones and 5usd a year isn't a lot of money.

nostr.com is good but it's a monthly fee, I own mynostr.com but it's currently inactive.

Meant yearly fee

Oh ok, I see now, the website I was looking at was my.nostr.com not mynostr.com.

As it is written in the article, there are paid and free alternatives. https://nostrplebs.com is paid, but you don't need to pay a monthly fee.

Yes I read it.
