Good luck in your journey, you can go as complicate as you want with lightning maintaining, start small and adapt to your situation. Are you going to be a router node or personal use?
If it's a router node, don't hesitate to share your pub.
Just started my own lightning node for the first time and opened my first channel (it's small).
Will tinker with it as much as I can, personally have always seen mantaining lightning like a headache.
Still I think it's worth to see were this takes me.
Besides just connected this node with nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 as a remote interface and discovered I still ca use the Zeuz Pay feature having my own node, i think this is great!
Also just requested my first incoming channel with the guys of nostr:npub1l0ans4w4psmcv6hsqjz2v3mxszhputlsfn4emkynv3jlwrfez59s35q0ug, will report back!

Appreciate the support buddy, and for now just personal, as I have to solve in some way the uptime issue as where I live the grid is kinda crappy.
