Consolidate simply means put larger amounts of BTC say at least 500-1000 USD value on single addresses. It will reduce the cost to move BTC into the future.

Depending on your stack you may want to go higher in value. Say if you hodl a total of 100K USD in value may be move that to 10-20 addresses of 5-10K each.
