SMS 2FA has been such a hassle while outside of the US. I have a growing handful of services which I am locked out of because I am unable to access my text messages.

I’ve started to use Google Voice for these where possible but that doesn’t work everywhere.

It’s always the more important sites, which touch financial information, which require it as well. I can get MFA on my beanie babies account but nooo you gotta use an insecure phone number to log in at Discover.
