Big time. Biggest waste of money and police resource ever. Speaking from someone who got arrested working in an illegal dispensary. 1 and a half years of court and I got 0 charges.
Agreed, it was a farce. The laws ruined more lives than the drugs themselves.
They still do. 90% of all drug harms are caused by the "war on drugs" policy. At least.
Portugal decriminalized possession for personal use and has one of the lowest overdose rates in the world.
The US invented the whole anti drugs narrative to begin with and more people die from overdosing than car crashes.
