If any of you nerds play D&D, I did a webapp for Jitsi live meetings (Encrypted Audio/Video, text chat, audio/browser/screensharing) coinciding with a shared dice room and gaming related tools. And Nostr chat channels. Tried to make it desktop and mobile friendly, but still very alpha.

But the part that I think is probably coolest is players can log their name and npub when joining a room, and there is a zap menu to zap other players as well as connect with them on Nostr. Lots of tweaking and improvements to be done, but it actually works! If you want to check it out, https://dnd.ittybitty.tips

Holy shit this is so cool πŸ‘€ Now I just need a group to try it out 😭

Played with a few Nostriches the other night and it worked out! You used to play?

Only a couple times, the campaigns only ever lasted a few sessions. It's hard when the only DM you know is 7,000 miles away and you don't have money to go to a paid session at a game store.

I have never paid to play in my life!

Neither have I... I'd rather not play at all than pay $20 a week to play with strangers

Fuck that...you mean all those years of running games I could have been paid?!

Yup, game stores host and charge an overhead from the DM, but generally the DM will then charge a little more than that. It's not a TON of money... Maybe you make 15-60 a session depending on the number of people and how much you charge, but still :/

I don't vibe with that. For me it's always been about hanging out with people I have fun with. I rarely played in a shop, usually my place or a friend's.

Well...now I suppose anywhere with internet works

Never the same as in person, but if it's the only reasonable option, hell yeah!

Agreed, it's always better around the same table. But I love in the sticks now, and I'm old. So most people around here are busy watch FOX, or dying.

It's VERY cool!
