## Changes in Last mile states could take place in three phases

1. Updates - UTXO owner (Alice) collects change requests from all previous recipients.

2. Notice - Alice constructs a modified `status` transaction that is shared with all recipients. It also sends them their `defense` transactions.

3. Valid - previously constructed transactions become valid. At the same time, the previous transactions stop being valid.

In other words in one moment there is valid state 1. Alice is announcing state 2 and collecting updates for state 3.
