I don’t think anything has convinced me of the utter uselessness of twitter for substantive exchange as opposed to shitposting and engagement farming than the drivechain “debate”.

I’ve found myself going back and forth on it *SOLELY BECAUSE* I see an obviously stupid or disingenuous argument for and think “ugh, now I wanna be against” or against and think “ugh, now I wanna be for.”

which is not to say there aren’t intelligent and honest arguments both ways, just that twitter is designed to make them hard to find.

(p.s. in case the wording here isn’t incredibly clear already, this note has nothing to do with drivechains. if you reply as if it is, I will treat that as shitposting and engagement farming and encourage you to go back to twitter 👍)

I’m not on Twitter anymore, but I recall the same dynamic. There are a lot of ad hominem attacks on both sides. Sadly it seems to be leaking over to here somewhat.

I’m still there because I am a world class shitposter, but this seems slightly more important than what does or doesn’t amuse me in 2 minute bursts.

Is this about drivechains ? / joke

BLOCKED AND REPORT-no wait, wrong app.

CAN I SPEAK TO THE MANAGER OF NOSTR

is it about Nobel prizes?

What, would you say, is the biggest thing this week that you deserve a Nobel for?

Didja know that Paul worked with a climate Nobel guy?

This isn’t about drivechains either

Yeah I gotta be honest in the last week I’ve inched toward drivechains based on the horribly left of the bell curve takes virtue signaling against it.

exactly.

but also the opposite 😂
