I was having a "conversation" with a vegan in my hostel recently, trying to explain to him how all of the "studies" he had saved on his phone proving "meat bad" were bunk, since the trifecta of Big Food / Big Pharma / Big Government all had infinite money & an aligned interest on promoting cheap slopfood over healthy food.

He looked me deadass in the eyes and said: "The meat industry is bigger than all of those."

These people have no clue how money or power dynamics work in the real world. They've been given a final "truth", and will grasp at anything that SOUNDS logical that will affirm that pre-determined conclusion.

These are the types of people you just have to get up and walk away from, and focus your energy somewhere more productive, as I did the moment after this particular gentlemen said that 😂
