it doesn't need that many. 200 follows gives an encrypted message of ~24kb.

JFC and you need to send the whole contact list on every new follow? That's crazy.

So the best way to spam the network would be to constantly follow and unfollow people to resend the whole contact list over and over again?

You could send bogus events as well

I assume those are easier to reject and defend, whereas contact list events are legit

Idk if they do, but relays would probably treat this as spam and rate limit.
