I do feel pretty bad for the writers on strike

Even if the union succeeds at increasing their pay its only a matter of time before its still too expensive to live where they do.

Yet if they don't publically support California's ruling class, or stay quiet, or actually criticize them, they can get blacklisted. So the actual cause of their problems really is never gonna go away
