1. I think an upcoming update for damus will allow you to filter out global by relays, making it usable again.

2. Some have succeeds by using the paid relays as it cuts out spam.

3. Pick someone you like on your follower / follow list. If you like their content, check their follower / follows. Birds of a feather.
