What non-coder tinkerers who have a little capital should do, is vibe code prototypes of proofs of concept, then hire a dev to productionize it while their main focus should be on monetization strategies.

Now you're talkin

Non-coder here. I was vibing with chatGPT about making pdf files from data on my website. We came to an agreement on the format. Then it spit out some code and told me to run it on Python 3. I felt betrayed. I don’t like snakes.

Should hav used an agent, it would have dealt with the snake for you 😂

I changed models to one that would just let me download the files. This was the outcome.

This looks kind of right?

Yes. Good enough. Faster than me doing all the typing for all the states.

Charge customers that arrive with prototypes more, than those without prototypes.

You can choose to ignore the prototype completely, yet the prototype still helps express what kind of an app the customer wants built, probably more than their vague descriptions ever could.

Yeah, I know, that's the problem. As we say in Germany, "They have no clue, but lots and lots of that."

Impossible to get them to rethink the design, workflows, tech stack, architecture, data structure, anything. We're just supposed to take their pig and slap some lipstick on it.

I'm totally traumatized. LOL

I've been trying to vibe code using Ollama and Qwen 2.5 Coder.

I'm still trying to figure out how to connect Ollama and/or Goose to Stacks in order that I can vibe-code a Reddit-style deal with NIP-72 (which nostr:nprofile1qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq37amnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3dwfjkccte9ejx2un9ddex7umn9ekk2tcqyqlhwrt96wnkf2w9edgr4cfruchvwkv26q6asdhz4qg08pm6w3djg3c8m4j thinks is underutilized).

If you have to do a reddit-style client, do it with NIP-29, NIP-72 sucks.

Combining NIP-29 and NIP-72 might be decent. I could look into that if I can get a vibe coding setup right.
