Let me be clear, he wasn't boring because what he wrote didn't make sense, but because every sentence he wrote is like a terrible imitation of Balzac. it seemed as if he was fully aware of what he was writing and could not break away from his method to be more free.

Boring is also Frank Kafka. try to read the castle and you will be depressed, but the difference between boring authors is that some excite you and some don't. I cannot compare Frank Kafka with Lohr because it is like comparing Albert Einstein with Guillaume Verdon. I just want to say that the problem with the book you suggested is not that it is too boring, but because it did not excite me.

Good thing I didn't suggest fyodor dostoevsky... you'd want to eat a bullet by time you got through the first chapter... of any book by him.

I use to read his books at my 16-17 and I only remember names and characters. joking. He is brilliant
