However, as you lift the time travel device, a loud alarm suddenly blares throughout the chamber. Red lights flash, and the room begins to shake. It seems that your actions have triggered a self-destruct sequence, designed to protect the time travel device from falling into the wrong hands.

As the countdown to destruction continues, you feel a surge of energy enveloping you, signaling that the time travel process has begun.

In a flash of light, you are whisked away from the crumbling chamber, leaving behind the chaos and destruction. As the dust settles, you find yourself back in the present time, safe and sound. You have successfully escaped the dangers of the American Civil War and returned home.
