For the people asking what "aether" is: basically, it's the persistent electrical charge that surrounds us in the air. (It's most visible during stormy conditions like in the first video, but it's always there.)

This is why #OldWorld buildings have those giant spires that reach high into the sky, and a round bulb underneath that (was) full of mercury. The conductive spire gathered the charge from the air, which caused the mercury to spin around, and VOILA, you've got free power straight from the sky.

In the Old World, entire CITIES were powered this way. No coal, oil, "natural gas", nuclear, wind, or any of the other inefficient/polluting infrastructure required. Plus no ugly wires all over the place, smart meters blasting #EMF and destroying our health...you get the idea.
