I haven't read outside the protestant cannon much, I read the Didache and loved it. I started the Shephard of Hermas but didn't finish.
I have a copy of the Didache!! I have read it a couple times but I should read it more
I am pretty much a Didache first Christian. When I read it I realized that that is the genuine Christianity of the 1st century as Christ and the apostles intended it. I pray trice per day and fast on Wednesday and Friday.
