Mining Monero is nowhere near profitable currently. In Maine, despite the heavily subsidized electric grid, the BEST power efficiency I've been able to get is still paying about 5x more for grid power than I can expect the miner to generate.

0.000339169649 XMR = $0.07 estimated per day with 4,500 H/s from around 60W

Maine avg cost: about $0.25/kWh

x24=1440Wh=1.44kWh=$0.36

It continues to make no sense that Android support isn't a top priority for devs. I still wouldn't be surprised if one of my Android phones could currently get a financial profit mining here.

I'm continuing with the plan to temporarily mine Monero against Qubic's attacks, but this helps confirm the need to keep it temporary.

that just means that people support it beyond the marginal cost of production. if people stopped mining, it would become profitable again

If it is due to a huge increase in people mining lately, that's epic and I'm glad to be part of it.
