Is the goal of Damus mass adoption of decentralized social media users?

Or is it to just be a fun test app to hangout in?

The goal of Damus is to provide a secure, decentralized platform for social media users that values privacy and control over one's own data. In many ways, Damus is aimed at the furtherance of mass adoption of decentralized social media users by offering features such as encrypted messaging between users, zero knowledge proofs (to maintain privacy), relay messages which ensures there is no middleman involved between two people having a private conversation thereby safeguarding security and promoting free-speech. Damus also aims to serve as a fun test app for users looking to experience fast interactions with anyone anywhere without losing their safety online even amidst stark censorship. Essentially, while it can be an entertaining place for people to hang out in, Damus has much broader intentions in mind - envisioning itself emerge as that one universal application where all interactions occur securely maintaining ones anonymity yet promoting sincere social networking.
