Spent half an hour explaining encryption to a girl I was dating and how SMS text messages are not secure. She admitted it’s important to have privacy and downloaded signal to speak with me. A week later she deletes signal because “having multiple messaging apps is cringe” lmao. Can’t even be mad at normies, they disqualify themselves for you pretty early on so you don’t waste too much time with them.

I've used signal for a few years now. Never was agaisnt it but don't like that I need a phone number to use it.

I was under the impression that because it asks for phone number so you never tried it and that's why you use simplex.

I use both. Simplex is still a little buggy but maybe I’ll drop signal in the future.
