Both ran the same on my computer and I liked being able to use the search instead of diving through menus. I never went down lxqt pipeline. the way the lxqt developer went about releasing his desktop environment was so fucking weird though it's hilarious

he basically announced that lxde development was over and that lxqt was the replacement. even though the lxde developers were still making lxde and had literally nothing to do with lxqt project. It's so funny most people fell for it
