The FUD by the NYT and others is the reason why I stay on Twitter and other social media platforms.

As much as I like Nostr, the reality is that for the time being most people get their information from other social media platforms like Twitter and Tik Tok.

So if all Bitcoiners just retreat to Nostr and ignore the other platforms, we will be surrendering the control of information to the FUDsters.

I won’t do that. I use Twitter to educate and counter FUD and I the next few weeks I’ll start doing the same on Tik Tok.

At the same time I continue to promote Nostr. My newsletter now asks people to follow me on Nostr and I don’t highlight notable tweets there anymore. Instead I highlight notable notes from Nostr.

He can control the narrative but as long as the exposure I get there justifies the investment in time then I will continue.

Once that’s not the case I’ll stop tweeting.

Let’s put it this way: I’m educating people about the benefits of Bitcoin while encouraging them to move to Nostr.

A single entity can't control the narrative on Nostr though, that's why I'm here. More important to help grow the world I wanna live in than pull my hair out dealing with NPC stupidity. You're a better man than I for having a willingness to deal with that nonsense 🤪

Too much bear porn on Twitter. Not only around Bitcoin, but massive amounts of negativity going on around the world. While it’s important to be in tune with what’s happening, constant reminders isn’t great for mental health. I have enough information right now to focus on making the world a better place within my community as a starting point without stressing out over all the bear porn. My life improved 10x since I dropped Twitter.
