Yes. It is disheartening. It did not turn me away from Christ, or my brother either, thankfully. I was 8 yro when I was saved, and remember the moment I recognized I had a soul as if it were yesterday. I am so thankful that my parents brought the possibility into my young world. I am saddened that their own radical positions very likely undermined their very ministry.
